CORRESPONDENCE TEACHING PROGRAMME
Those students who are keen to qualify this exam, but unable to attend the regular classroom sessions, can avail our correspondence / Distance-learning programme. The matter consists of the study material topic wise along with many question papers. The answer sheet to these model papers will have to be sent back by the students, which will be evaluated by our expert faculty and in turn will be sent back to the students along with the remarks/assessment.
The correspondence material is self-explanatory and thus will compensate for the absence of teacher in a distant learning mode. However, for clearing the difficulties of the students, we organize contact classes, once every month. A total of 4 contact classes will be held during the entire course. Each class will be held for consecutive 3 days so that the students get a chance to overcome obstacles and clear all the doubts.
We have an affordable and reasonable fee structure. The fee is highly competitive and optimally structured.
DURATION
The duration of the entire course will be 4 and ½ months. In this short period entire syllabus of the first paper will be covered. For the Paper II, selective 25-30 units will be covered on the basis of requirements of the batch.
HOW TO PREPARE
JRF-NET is considered one of the toughest and prestigious exams in the country due to two reasons. First is the very low ratio of selection to the number of appearing candidates and secondly because of its vast syllabus. Hence, most of the students find it difficult to qualify the exam, even after having a good understanding of the subject.
Like other exams, in order to qualify JRF-NET requires a bit of good management of time and effort along with proper guidance. First the emphasis is on topics for subjective type problems (second paper) and secondly on guidance in solving objective type problems (first paper) quickly. In other words, in order to attempt 16 questions from the given approximately 41 questions, it is not important to cover the entire syllabus; rather the knowledge of the paper’s pattern is important i.e. from which part the probability of getting many questions is higher. Our team is keeping track of the previous year’s paper (JRF and GATE, both) and based on it we select some important topics for the preparation. Also for objective type questions we provide a different approach to solve the problem quickly and correctly.
OTHER AVENUES
Although the aim of our classes is to prepare the students for JRF-NET exam, we also provide additional useful information to reinforce their foundation so that they are equipped to face any interview or other Ph.D. entrance Exams. Thus the coaching is also beneficial for ICMR, DBT, GATE and various other entrance exams.
Our faculty panel keeps on informing our students about other exams like Civil Services, IFS, IISc, ICAR, DBT, JNU, Reliance-Bio etc. They discuss the pattern of exams, what extra is required to crack other exams and conducts mock tests from time to time.
OUR APPROACH
We are conducting weekly tests for the taught portion along with the surprise tests in between. Also special guest lectures are organized from time to time, which are delivered by eminent academicians and professors from prestigious universities and institutes.
LIBRARY FACILITY
The library at Gyan Bindu Academy is extremely rich and houses a vast and comprehensive collection of books on relevant subjects. The books are made available as and when required by the students, as per the rules and regulations of the library. Apart from books some good magazines and journals are also available to the students.
HOW GYAN BINDU ACADEMY IS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER INSTITUTES
This Academy is exclusively for Life Sciences. We have a team of faculty for each topic. All of them are NET-JRF qualified and aim to achieve 100 % results. The plus point at Gyan Bindu Academy is the everyday communication between the faculty members, students and the director. The greatest plus point is that director herself is from the life sciences background. She has a long experience in Teaching and Research after completing her Ph.D. from JNU, New Delhi. She is available at the Academy every day. Students are most welcome and advised to take advantage of her long experience of teaching and research as done by previous batches.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR JRF-NET EXAM AND UNIVERSITY EXAMINATIONS
Students with a PG degree in different areas of Biology (Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences etc.) can appear for this exam under the subject Life Sciences. Since Biology is a vast area, the selection of topics, excellent teaching along with a good quality study material makes this problem simple and it is here our expert faculty members will guide you.
The main door opens as one qualify the joint CSIR-UGC Test for JRF and eligibility for LS (NET). There are many questions arising in the mind of every student while starting its preparation.
(a) What to read? So far study material is concerned.
(b) How to read? So far orientation is concerned.
(c) How to manage time? So far time management is concerned
(d) What is the proper strategy for success in this exam?
(e) Is syllabus manageable within short time span for the students of diverse field like Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Environmental Sciences etc. as all of them have a common syllabus?
Thus keeping these questions in mind and all other things we, team of faculty members have made proper strategy to make the path of success achievable in a short time span.
Paper I is of 200 marks and is divided into two sections; Section A consists of 30 objective type questions from General Science (5 questions each from Physical Science, Chemical Science, Mathematical Science, Life Science and Computer science).
Section B of Paper I have 70 questions from Life sciences, in which most of the questions will be from Cell Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Evolutionary Biology, Ecology and Environment, Biodiversity and Taxonomy. Each unit has at least 5-10 questions.
Negative marking is made for wrong answers in Paper I
Paper-II, the subjective Part, is also of 200 marks and in it short descriptive answers are to be given. Out of the 41 questions, you have to answer only 16 questions. The first question is compulsory and is from basic research aptitude and analytical chemistry. Paper II is evaluated only on the condition of securing minimum aggregate marks in Paper I as fixed by CSIR.
This paper it indicates that selection of topics plays a very important role. Thus our expert faculty members guide the students from different background in their PG's, in such a decisive way that makes the students confident enough to crack the JRF-NET & GATE exam.
