CORRESPONDENCE TEACHING
PROGRAMME
Those students who are keen
to qualify this exam, but unable to attend the
regular classroom sessions, can
avail our
Correspondence / Distance-learning programme. The matter consists of the study material
topic wise along with many question papers.
The answer sheet to these model papers
will have to be sent back by the students, which will be
evaluated by our expert faculty and in turn will be sent back to the students along
with the remarks/assessment.
The correspondence material
is self-explanatory and thus will compensate for the
absence of teacher in a distant learning mode. However, for clearing the
difficulties of the students, we organize contact
classes, once every month. A total of 4 contact classes will be held
during the entire course. Each class will be held
for consecutive 3 days so that the students get a chance to overcome obstacles and
clear all the doubts.
We have an affordable and reasonable
fee structure. The fee is highly competitive and optimally structured.

DURATION OF REGULAR CLASSES
The duration
of the entire course will be 5 and ½ months. In this short period entire syllabus
of Paper I and Paper II will be covered.
HOW TO PREPARE
JRF-NET is considered
one of the toughest and prestigious exams in the country due to two reasons. First
is the very low ratio of selection to the number of appearing candidates and secondly
because of its vast syllabus. Hence, most of the students find it difficult to qualify
the exam, even after having a good understanding of the subject.
Like other exams,
in order to qualify JRF-NET requires a bit of good management of time and effort
along with proper guidance. First the emphasis is on topics for subjective type
problems (second paper) and secondly on guidance in solving objective type problems
(first paper) quickly. In other words, in order to attempt 16 questions from the
given approximately 39-45 questions, it is not important to emphasize the entire
syllabus; rather the knowledge of the paper’s pattern is important i.e. from which
part the probability of getting many questions is higher. Our team is keeping track
of the previous year’s paper (JRF and GATE, both) and based on it we select some
important topics for the preparation. Also for objective type questions we provide
a different approach to solve the problem quickly and correctly.
OTHER AVENUES
Although the
aim of our classes is to prepare the students for JRF-NET exam, we also provide
additional useful information to reinforce their foundation so that they are equipped
to face any interview or other Ph.D. entrance Exams. Thus the coaching is also beneficial
for ICMR, DBT, GATE and various other entrance exams.
Our faculty
panel keeps on informing our students about other exams like Civil Services, IFS,
IISc, ICAR, DBT, JNU, Reliance-Bio etc. They discuss the pattern of exams, what
extra is required to crack other exams and conducts mock tests from time to time.
OUR APPROACH
We are conducting
weekly tests for the taught portion along with the surprise tests in between. Also
special guest lectures are organized from time to time, which are delivered by eminent
academicians and professors from prestigious universities and institutes.
LIBRARY
FACILITY
The library
at
Gyan Bindu Academy
is extremely rich and houses a vast and comprehensive collection of books on relevant
subjects. The books are made available as and when required by the students, as
per the rules and regulations of the library. Apart from books some good magazines
and journals are also available to the students.
HOW
GYAN BINDU ACADEMY
IS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER INSTITUTES
This Academy is exclusively for Life Sciences.
We have a team of faculty for each topic. All of them are NET-JRF qualified and
aim to achieve 100 % results. The plus point at
Gyan Bindu Academy
is the everyday communication between the faculty members, students and the director.
The greatest plus point is that director herself is from the life sciences background.
She has a long experience in Teaching and Research after completing her Ph.D. from
JNU,
New Delhi
. She is available at the Academy every day. Students are most welcome and advised
to take advantage of her long experience of teaching and research as done by previous
batches.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR JRF-NET EXAM AND UNIVERSITY EXAMINATIONS
The main door
opens as one qualify the joint CSIR-UGC Test for JRF and eligibility for LS (NET).
There are many questions arising in the mind of every student while starting its
preparation.
(a) What to read? So
far study material is concerned.
(b) How
to read? So far orientation is concerned.
(c) How
to manage time? So far time management is concerned
(d) What
is the proper strategy for success in this exam?
(e) Is syllabus manageable
within short time span for the students of diverse field like Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry,
Microbiology, Biotechnology, and Environmental Sciences etc. as all of them have
a common syllabus?
THE STRATEGY
The Joint CSIR-UGC JRF/LS (NET) Examination shall comprise
of 2 papers:
PAPER I:
This paper will
be of 2 hours and 30 minutes duration and shall have a maximum of 200 marks.
Part ‘A’ of Paper
I shall contain 40 General Science questions. These questions will be common to
all subject areas of NET Examination. A candidate shall be required to answer a
maximum of 25 questions from Part ‘A’. In case, a candidate answers more than 25
questions, only the first 25 answered questions will be taken up for evaluation. Part ‘B’ of Paper I shall have 100 questions.
A candidate will be required to answer a maximum of 75 questions. In case a candidate
answers more than 75 questions, only the first 75 answered questions shall be evaluated. All questions are of two marks each.
There will be negative marking for wrong answers.
Do not let this
happen to you.
Gyan Bindu Academy
is there to help you on this matter. We provide guidance of experienced faculty
and all you have to do is follow them and do hard labour from your side. The relevant
topics in each subject are taught in sufficient classes so as to enable a student
to attempt at least 25 questions out of the given 40.
Physics: Usually 6-7 questions are asked from simple Harmonic
Motion, Law of Motion, Optics, Doppler Effect, Electricity, Magnetism, Light etc.
Chemistry: 6-7 questions are asked from periodic table, Thermodynamics,
Chemical Kinetics, Radioactivity, Chemical Equilibrium, pH related problem etc.
Mathematics:
6-7 questions
from Geometry, Permutation and Combination, Probability, Simple Differentiation,
Integration, Pythagoras Theorem etc.
Biology:
6-7 questions
are asked. The main area of attention is Blood group, Rh Factor, Cytology, Genetics,
Hormones and their related diseases, Environmental Science & Biodiversity etc.
Computer:
6-7 questions
from Basics, Binary and octal representation. Flow Chart, Loop Programming, different
group language, Operating system, Terminology etc.
Geography:
6-7 questions
are generally asked from Rock structure, Volcano, Earthquake, Tectonic theory, Climatic
Phenomena, Solar System, Atmosphere, Biosphere, etc.
PAPER II:
This paper shall be of 2 hours and 30 minutes duration and will have a maximum of
200 marks. This Paper shall consist of 39-45 short answer type questions requiring
descriptive answers. To answer each question, a candidate will be provided one page
each. There shall be one compulsory question of twenty Marks. In addition to the
compulsory question, the candidate is required to answer a maximum of any 15 questions
of twelve marks each.
All exams need
a planned study using a suitable technique. It applies for CSIR exam too thus so
it is important to understand what to prepare and how to qualify CSIR exam. Smart
work and proper strategy is required for section A of Paper I as this section plays
an important role in selection. Many deserving students fail to qualify first paper,
just because of their poor performance in GS.
Students with
a PG degree in different areas of Biology (Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Biochemistry,
Biotechnology, Life Sciences etc.) can appear for this exam under the subject Life
Sciences. Since Biology is a vast area, the selection of topics, excellent
teaching along with a good quality study material makes this problem simple and
it is here our expert faculty members will guide you.
